PAPA NUI Z- SPECIAL COMFORTER CAP – KHAKI

The Z-Special cap or comforter is a marvel of engineering and simplicity. It’s ingenious and perplexing to the uninitiated but it’s essentially a tube of knitted wool that is sewn together at both ends. So when it is completely unfurled it is a short scarf.

When one end is tucked into itself and worked through to the other end and then folded over, it can be worn as a double layered knit cap. It was a popular piece of kit being prized by Commonwealth Special forces Z teams, British Commandos, the US Army Rangers and the lads of the RAF.

This season we use Canadian Khaki as our colour, dyed in a cozy but rugged pure worsted wool.
