INDIGOFERA X RED WING KABUSA BLANKET – BLK/RED/YEL/BEI/TURQ

The second collaboration between Red Wing & Indigofera sees a more colourful blanket than before, inspired by ancient rugs and blankets from the early 1700’s in the Southern parts of Sweden. The technique used to make the blanket can be seen historically throughout Scandinavia, Asia, North and South America; traditionally always rich in colour, pattern & symbol. Kabusa is a nature preservation area in Skane where the earliest examples of these were found in Sweden, the name stemming from the Viking-rune word ‘Kabbis’, meaning ‘house.’
